First, I would like to thank the American Red Cross for our most recent recertification class last Thursday 5/8/08. Robin Romanski was an excellent instructor, and we thought the training was on target as always.
Second, we would like to share a good related story with you: When I arrived in my office this morning, John Caporrino who is one of the employees that took the course on Thursday, came in to my office and said, I want to thank you for giving the CPR class.
He proceeded to say that over the weekend while having dinner, his five year son was choking on some food that he was eating. Without hesitation he immediately put his training into action and gave his son the necessary back blows and dislodged the object. Everyone at the table said to John, how did you know he was choking? I just knew by the sound, instinct and my training.
We thought that the American Red Cross would like to hear about another fine success story.
Thank you again for the training and the American Red Cross's ongoing work to provide relief, and help people prepare for emergencies!
